A Morning with Ali

I couldn't sleep this morning so I sneaked into the room the charming and beautiful Susan shares with Ali in the hospital. It was 5:00am and the room was dark. They were fast asleep. I sat there in the dark, sipping coffee, and just watched over them and prayed. My girls.

Susan was able to take a walk outside with Aaron while I lay with Ali in bed. We stared at each other until we both fell asleep and took a short nap. This was the charming and beautiful Susan's first venture out of the hospital since Tuesday.

When I walk around with Ali or hold her and rock her, I sing this pray over her:

Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary
Pure and holy, tried and true
With thanksgiving, I'll be a living
