CRIBS
Uncle Aaron thought I was lonely so he tricked out my crib with a bunch of friendly looking stuffed toys. I love Uncle Aaron.

Movin' Up to Spoon Food
This week, you'll be happy to know, I've made some serious life-development progress. You might want to move out to the edge of your seat for this news: I'm eating food that doesn't come for a bottle!
Last week, I started with a little rice shaken in with my formula and this week, sweet potatoes. Rock on!

Milestones
I learned a couple of new things about life this week:
Additionally, I usually have to recruit my mom or a grandparent to help me insert my pacifier into my mouth so I feel comfy when I sleep. But this week I discovered that one of my fingers is shaped a little differently and, believe or not, works in sort of the opposite direction from my other fingers. I can put this in my mouth by myself. That pacifier might be a thing of the past.
- There is a bigger variety of food out there than I originally thought. There's not just formula, but there is also rice that can be added to it.
- A bottle with a rubber nipple is not the only available food delivery device on this planet. Note the picture below. That thing is called a spoon.

Freshly developed film
We finally got back the roll of film we left at Walmart. I scanned these pictures in by hand. Digital is the way to go. But we still have family that are not in tune with internet communication so these pics are going out by snail-mail tomorrow.

Wess Stafford of Compassion reprinted the following poem in his book Too Small to Ignore.
"Children Learn What They Live"
by Dorothy Law Nolte
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

Poopie Party
I'm not old enough to throw a poopi party, but my friend Kinley is big and she can. Read about it here on her mommy and daddy's blog.
Busy Mommies
This lady talks like my grandma :)

"People often write me and ask how I keep my wood floors so clean when I live with a child and a dog, and my answer is that I use a technique called Suffering From a Mental Illness."

Grandma's Really Big Birthday
My grandma had a big birthday party. It was a surprise. She said that she knew grandpa was up to something because he kept looking at his watch and he drove so slow. Grandpa never drives slow, Grandma says.
Everybody wore black clothes a Grandma's party except Grandma. That's because she's so special.

Grandma looks really happy in this picture. Grandpa's carrying that book because he told Grandma he had to "drop it by."

One Month Old
I've been hanging out for a month now. The house I live in is safe and full of love. My grandma loves to talk to me and my grandpa reads to me. My mom feeds me, changes me, burps me, bathes me, puts me to sleep, and takes care of me all night. Everyone plays with me.
Here are some pictures of me at a month old.

My Uncle Aaron
My Uncle Aaron and his beautiful girlfriend were there when I was born.
Uncle Aaron is gone alot because it's summer. But I love it when he's home and go to sleep on him when I get the chance.
Last night, his friend, Julia, came over for dinner. Grandpa traded a chicken dinner for four dozen snicker-doodle cookies. Julia always brings Grandpa baked goodies. I think Grandpa gets the better end of that deal.
